Had a bad experience at Thrive last night December 11, 2010. I held a surprise party for my husband there last night, when we arrived we we're told we could not enter because my husband had on Polo boots, unstandable because every place has a dress policy and I failed to check into this before hand. However, I explained we were having a lot of ppl attend for my husbands surprise birthday party. We were asked " Do ya'll have a booth?" by the person checking ID's. I explained that I did not. We felt that was the ONLY way we would be able to enter the club, and felt like we were force to buy one because of some polo boots. As we entered the club we did see ppl with tennis shoes, and was amazed that we we're told they had a strict policy and couldnt break the policy because of new mgmt coming in. However, Casey attend us with a table and asked what type of bottle we would like, and that this table would be a CASH BOTTLE only. Meaning she would not take our credit card, and pointed us to an ATM. We opened a tap with Casey for about an hour, and closed it because she took forever to comeback after 1 time of asking us for a drink. We approached the bar, and eventho a tall gentlemen on the far right was great the rest of the night still did not make up for the rest of the night. We spend about $400 last night and did not have a good experience. Please contact me if you have any questions. Quick note, I would not recommend this club in the future based on bad experience.
